Hut History and Purpose |

Past :
Current : To provide shelter to campers along the king river. This hut is located adjacent to the King river with easy access to the river. The area has many camps sites at the hut and along the river. Fire wood is scarce. |

Condition of Hut |
Hut was destroyed by fire sometime after the seasonal closure in 2008. (July/August 2008) Interior painted and minor works around the hut completed April 08. ARCHIVE : The hut is in poor condition. Graffiti and vandalism. Exterior and interior wall cladding has been damaged by vandals. |

The surrounds are in good condition with grass camping areas |

Condition of access track |
2WD access to the hut via the Circuit road, 4WD access via the King Basin Road. The recent rain and traffic of the Melb Cup long weekend has made some areas slippery. |
